A Platform for Bold, Independent Ideas
The Ajayyabharathy Foundation helps people, institutions, and government become ready for the future.
We work toward India's vision of a $5 trillion economy and a developed nation by 2047 — and we pursue it where we are rooted: in Kerala, and Kerala's contribution to that national future.
Building the intellectual architecture of a Viksit Bharat.
We do this as an independent institution of thought leadership, policy advisory, and research — generating ideas, informing policy, and building the intellectual architecture of a Viksit Bharat.
Everything we produce, from essays and podcasts to debates and conferences, serves that purpose.
Policy whitepapers, research monographs, roundtable conferences, policy podcasts, youth fellowships, and bilateral economic symposiums.
Rooted in Devotion. Dedicated to the Motherland.
The Foundation takes its name from two sources of meaning: Ajayya, from founder Dr Ajayya Kumar, and Bharathi, his mother — a schoolteacher who dedicated her life to educating thousands of children.
It was initiated in her memory, as a tribute to her enduring legacy and to the motherland, Bharat.

Rooted in Kerala, Oriented to India 2047
Anchored in Kerala's rich social capital while driving national momentum toward a $5 trillion economy and Viksit Bharat by 2047.
12+ Interdisciplinary Domains
Rigorous thought leadership, policy advisory, and empirical research across economic policy, technology, education, and institutional governance.
Engaging Society at Every Level
Bringing decision-makers, academic institutions, youth, and citizens into structured, actionable public policy dialogues.
“India's greatness will not be measured only by its GDP — but by the quality of its children's dreams and the dignity of its last citizen.”
Ideas that stay with the question
National growth is not built by aspiration alone. It is built by institutions, frameworks, research, and public conversations that stay with the question long after attention has moved elsewhere.
